If you weren’t able to comment recently, that should be fixed now.
The site will also tell you now if a comment is awaiting moderation which should avoid some confusion about comments not showing up immediately. Comments are usually put into the moderation queue if you’re commenting for the first time or if the comment contains certain words that are often used in spam. I check and approve comments daily so it shouldn’t take long for queued comments to appear.
If you got a warning from Malewarebytes that the site might be unsafe, that should be fixed too.
They were being dramatic, I was one minor WordPress update behind because I had to manually tinker with the theme before updating. While we’re on the topic though, if you’re using Windows, don’t waste money on anti-virus software. Windows Defender, which comes with Windows, works perfectly fine and most other apps like Malewarebytes, Norton, McAfee etc. don’t only slow down your PC, they also make it less secure.
There’s still an issue with people not getting e-mails from the blog.
In some cases (Yahoo) it’s an overzealous spam filter, in some other cases (Gmail) it seems to be a gamble if a mail makes it through or not.
